A delicious addition to our R&D (Rare & Delicious) Series. Tripel is a Ninkasi take on a Belgian Tripel, brewed with yeast that contributes a spicy, clove-like aroma with citrusy and floral notes. We created this series to highlight unique beers created by different members of our brewing team. Tripel is Tim's first solo brew at Ninkasi, who selected this style not only for his love of Belgians, but also because of its history and connectivity to culture, dating back to the year 530. Our R&D Series are Rare and Delicious!

This is a Ninkasi take on a Belgian Tripel. Tripels are brewed with Belgian-style yeast contributing a spicy, clove-like aroma with citrusy and floral notes. They are generally effervescent with a long-lasting, dense white head. We brewed ours with Pilsner and Carapils malts, as well as Hallertau and Saaz hops. Enjoy!
Tasting Notes From the Brewer
This beer offers all the best characteristics of a Tripel – the clove-like phenolic flavor and fruity esters imparted by the yeast, including banana and bubblegum. Tripels are known for providing a balanced, drinkable combination of hops, malts, and alcohol percentage. Generally, they finish sweet, but ours finishes a bit more drier than traditional Tripels.
