Single Hop Series Release: Mosaic

Imagine you are on an island. A tropical island. The sea is a turquoise blue and the sands are as white as snow. The sun is beating down on you and you're wrapped in a blanket of humidity. Somehow this is all fine because in comes a cool breeze that shakes the palm trees above you and the waves crash down.

For many of us, the aroma of our Mosaic single hop beer smells like a tropical oasis. The beer is pale in color and packed with a ton of flavor!

This beer is proof that hops are not solely for bittering. In fact, there is little to no bitterness in this beer. It is smooth and super flavorful. It's a good thing that this beer's ABV is 5.4% because it is really easy to drink.

Mosaic is a part of our Single Hop Series. This series is an educational project to experience the unique characteristics of select hops. By brewing a beer with one hop, we are able to taste individual flavors and nuances that each hop has. So far, we have brewed Smells Like Purple, El Dorado and Mosaic.

So what is this new wonder hop?
Mosaic is a new aroma hop variety developed by the Hop Breeding Company, LLC released in 2012. Mosaic offers a unique and complex blend of floral, tropical, fruity, and earthy characteristics that translate very favorably into several styles of beer. Mosaic is the daughter of Simcoe and a Nugget-dreived male.

Here's a few stats about our beer:
ABV: 5.3%
IBU:38
Starting Gravity: 1052
Malt: Pilsner, Flaked Barley, NW Crystal C15, Carahell
Hops: Mosaic

This beer will be available on tap only in select locations. Come visit us in the Tasting Room to experience our Single Hop Series.
