Where Team Ninkasi Works (and Plays)!

Jul 23, 2014 Comments (6) Where Team Ninkasi Works (and Plays)!

Last month, Team Ninkasi moved into our brand new office building. To say we'd outgrown our old space would be an understatement of the century. With no more room for desks or meeting spaces, a new office was badly needed to help our employees have a comfortable and creative work space!

So when we moved into the new space, stoke level was pretty high around here. We spent a lot of time thinking about how to make this a functional work space, so we can get beer to all of YOU, while also incorporating plenty of elements that make it a fun and comfortable place to work.

We thought we'd give you a little pictorial tour so you can see where we work (and play) hard!

The building was designed to host! It is three stories with an atrium that opens into our courtyard. We have one employee bar on the first floor,

And one employee bar on the third floor, which opens up onto the rooftop patio. Which also happens to be an ideal place to grill up all of the food that pairs perfectly with a pint of Ninkasi.

We've got secure bike storage and lockers/showers for the many employees who bike or walk to work, participate in the Ninkasi Run Club, or attend one of our weekly yoga classes (another perk that we're able to offer in the new building!).

While we're on the subject of active things, allow us to introduce you to our rock climbing wall, complete with hops and our signature teal and black.

Because education and quality control are two of our biggest priorities, we have multiple classrooms committed to training for our employees and partners.

This includes a new-and--improved space for our sensory program, where employees taste our beer multiple times a week to make sure every pint and batch is true to brand.

And we have a kitchen/break room which employees can use on a daily basis or for special occasions like beer dinners!

We also have many creative touches from our fabrication shop that Jazz and Pat made to Ninkasify our space, including name plates at everyone's desks, rad lights above the bars, and custom recycling bins.

The recycling bins are an important touch since the building is registered to be LEED certified. The building includes many sustainable features like high-efficiency bathrooms and use of recycled materials in the construction of the building.

And the work space itself is very open, allowing for plentiful opportunities to collaborate and catch up with coworkers.

Our new facility also includes a beautiful new spot for our dock sales, where customers can come and pick up kegs and cases of beer so they have plenty of Ninkasi on-hand!

And as we continue to grow, we will add a pilot brew system and a recording studio to support the artists we partner with!

Stay tuned for another virtual tour-next time, we'll show you around the new brewery!

Well, get that recording studio up and going then I'll learn how to play an instrument, start a band, and come down and record!
