We are pleased to introduce one of our newest Beer is Love partners, the American Alpine Club! The stoke was pretty high this week when our Beer is Love Goddess Emilie hung up the phone with Adam from AAC. This is not just any climbing club. This is the climbing club for the United States!

What's the point of a climbing club? The American Alpine Club's mission is to support their shared passion for climbing and respect the places they climb. Next question you might ask, why would Ninkasi support a climbing club? It's an easy answer. We want to help support people's passions, especially when those passions encourage perpetuating better living and helping the environment.

(Plus, we're kind of into this climbing thing.)

The American Alpine Club is for EVERYONE who loves climbing. The group encompasses every kind of climber: sport climbers, traditional climbers, alpinists, mountaineers, trekkers, boulderers and ski mountaineers. AAC helps connect members with knowledge, information and resources to help them climb and enable them to push their limits. From rescue benefits and climbing grants for trips, to access to camping grounds and discounts with select companies that sell climbing gear, AAC is all about empowering the climbing community and establishing a great network for future generations.

Towards the end of Emilie's conversation with Adam, he let her know AAC's tagline and core belief, "Together we are stronger." AAC's biggest mission is to form a united community of climbers who can share their passion in a healthy landscape. This hit home since one of Ninkasi's core values is, "One Team." It's pretty clear that this partnership is a match made in beer/climbing heaven.

We look forward to partnering with AAC at their upcoming event on April 4: Exposed: Tragedy and Triumph in Mountain Climbing Presentation with the book's authors Brad and Melissa McQueen, who will detail their harrowing night out exposed in a blizzard on Mount Evans.

This is a free event but you must register and there's limited seating so if you're interested, get registered as soon as possible!

Check back soon to see how the American Alpine Club is perpetuating better living in their communities! Cheers!
