Ninkasi’s Beer is Love Program Helps Support Local and Regional Artists

EUGENE, Ore.—July 29, 2013The 7thAnnual Whiteaker Block Party is a celebration of community, art, culture and music, August 3 from noon to 10p.m. in Eugene’s Whiteaker neighborhood. A free, one-day festival, the Block Party brings in close to 4,000 revelers to the neighborhood for its annual festivities.

As the home to Ninkasi Brewing Companysince 2006, the historic Whiteaker neighborhood is known for its mix of artists and industrial buildings, including emerging restaurants and other breweries recently new to the neighborhood like Oakshire and Hop Valley.

Through Ninkasi’s Beer is Love program, offering in-kind donations and support to registered 501c3 nonprofits and local artists and musicians since 2012, Ninkasi is proud to announce its Ninkasi Patio Stage and 2nd& Jackson Stage line-ups, sure to fit every taste.

Since 2012, Ninkasi has provided support to more than 40 local and regional musicians with assistance to record, press albums and book shows. In addition, all proceeds from Ninkasi beer sold during the Block Party will go directly to fund the permitting, staging, sound, insurances, and technical infrastructure necessary to plan and host the Block Party each August.
