Beer is Love Partner Spotlight: Ecological Farming AssociationMay 25, 2016 Comments (0)
For the second year in a row, our Beer is Love program donated a variety of beer to the Ecological Farming Association’s annual Artisanal Beer and Cheese Tasting. This event is held during their annual conference in January.
EcoFarm is the oldest and largest ecological agricultural gathering in the western United States. We love all things that aim to better our environment so this was a natural fit. Plus, the event had a selection of delicious cheeses so how could we say no to that? Allie Wilson from EcoFarm filled us in on more information about the event.
Tell us about your organization and the event.
EcoFarm promotes organic farming and social food justice by bring together like-minded individuals for educational workshops, special events, presentations, mixers and socializing.
The tasting is held in the Exhibitor Marketplace and attendees schmooze among their peers and visit the exhibitor booths to learn about programs, services and products. More than 30 breweries and cheese producers contribute to this popular event.
How did the donation impact your event?
Event expenses were defrayed with the donation provided by Ninkasi, and the other contributors. Having a popular brand represented in the tasting encourages ticket sales and informs our guests of the high standards we hold in selecting/inviting donors to participate in the tasting.
